How cute is this? Sorry about the poor quality, it was taken at an angle out my window and through glass and a screen.

This is from The Barefoot Contessa at Home cookbook.
1 C. each mayonnaise, sour cream, chopped scallions and chopped basil
juice of 2 lemons
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
2tsp. salt and 1tsp. pepper
It also calls for a tsp. of anchovy paste but I never have that in my house. I'm sure it tastes great in it and one these days I'll try it.

Put everything but the sour cream in a food processor (blender might work if you don't have one) and process until smooth.

Add the sour cream and process just until blended.

It's good as a dip for veggies as well as a salad dressing.

Gosh, I love Ina, and I've made that recipe (it is very good).

The cardinals are captured perfectly. Is that with your new lens?

Oh, you've got a Mr and Mrs Tweeter too...:)

We have about 3 families around our house, I think the younger ones are descended from the original pair who live in the big oak out in front and the two younger ones live in the back and side yards. The one last year had his mate and 2 younger females and a male with him and we think his son has his mate this year because I saw them courting in my rose garden last month.

We call them the Tweeters because of the way they chirp back and forth in our bushes especially first thing in the morning when I am putting out their food. You should hear them complain if it's not out by 8am..LOL

I love the cardinals pic--you captured such a precious moment there. Cardinals are among the birds I most miss seeing, since living over here.

That dressing --and your pictures of the making of it -- gahd, I'm hungry now! (And wishing we had a food processor!) Yum!
