I never have fashion dilemmas. I have certain things I like to wear, know what's appropriate for what occasion and don't stray too far into trendy territory. I have just discovered however that when you don't actually want to go to a party it's very hard to decide what to wear to it. Especially when (a) you can't go home between work and the party, and (b) you have every intention of ducking out after making the requisite appearance and meeting your friends at the local dive/pub/bar for the weekly pub quiz.

After trying on and rejecting half of my closet I have come up with the following solution:

At work - cream trousers and a graphic T, black chucks
Party - swap out the graphic T for a sparkly blouse, swap the chucks for silver strappy sandals.
Pub - Back into the T and chucks and throw on a pair of black skinny jeans I'll bring along in my backpack. [yes, I take a backpack to work. I have to carry about 50 pounds of stuff back and forth]

Now to figure out the makeup situation...

Best suggestion I have for makeup - just add liner, mascara and a darker lip color. Or some glitter, if you're the glitter type, near the temples. :)

I was thinking about you today, hoping you're okay. *hugs*

I approve of this plan. To switch your makeup from day to night, just add a little more eyeliner/mascara and a more dramatic lipstick. Classic bright red is always my favourite.

Sounds like you came up with a good solution.

I've been thinking of you.
