Ok, so this really isn't a big deal to anyone but me but I got a new table and chairs for my kitchen! The old one was ugly and disgusting. The chairs could not be recovered and were filthy. Yuck. Even worse, they had wheels and I was alway terrified someone was going to fall as they'd roll away from you as you tried to sit down. So my new country french table and chairs will be delivered this evening and my kitchen will look pretty for Thanksgiving. The table is a medium/pale brown wood and the chairs are creamy white. I have other furniture that brown color in the room and my cabinets are white. I think it'll look nice.

No doubt there will be photos later.

Isn't it fun to get something new like that? It just lifts up a room and a home. (And, your tables are always decorated with panache!)

It really does make a big difference when you change out just one thing. And thanks :-)

That's great! The kitchen table can make a huge different. I still remember when I was about six my parents changed ours from a big dark rectangular thing to a warm, round table with much more comfortable chairs.

Oh lord, my one was so gross. I hated it from day one and am so happy to see it GONE.

I'm looking forward to the pictures. I'm also jealous: you have a kitchen large enough to hold a table and chairs and (apparently) 'other furniture.' I have a kitchen so small that I'm thinking seriously of relocating the cat's bowls. FanSee

I do love my kitchen. It's a combined kitchen/family room so it's where everyone gathers of course. My living room and dining room are totally open to each other too. I suppose technically the main part of my house is only two spaces. LR/DR and Kit/FR. Works for me though.
