I had a Monday today.

My car started sluggishly and the check engine light came on. Took it in for a needed oil change and asked them to check it over. Needed a new battery and a new O2 sensor. To the tune of $400. I got the oil change and the battery for just over $100 and the guy said I can wait until after the New Year for the rest as it will not leave me stranded by the side of the road or anything.

I do have an amusing tale to tell about this though. When I told a co-worker that I had to go to the mechanic on my lunch hour she suggested that it was probably nothing, just sluggish from the cold temperature this morning. It was 52 degrees. I did manage to keep a straight face.

I take it 52 isn't that cold? We had our first frost this morning. My cd player wouldn't play. :(

I love my car, but it is getting a bit long in the tooth.

52 is fairly mild. I live in FL though and any time it gets below 70 people start shivering.

My car is 6 years old with about 52000 miles on it. Not too bad but I'm not surprised it needs a bit of work at this point.

Ummmmmm. I went to St. Lawrence for college. My car had to start at -25F at least a few times every semester. 52 meant people didn't wear coats to class. It's funny how people react differently to temperatures based on where they live.
