You guys know I recommend fic pretty much never, but in the last two days I've read two amazing fics. They are both really long and lovely.
First is a Torchwood fic:
Comfortable Horrors by
alex51324, about 30,000 words.
It's post-cyberwoman. I know, it's been done and done to death, only NOT. This is perhaps the best take on it I have ever read. Jack keeps Ianto prisoner in the Hub afer the events of Cyberwoman and... I can't explain it, it's so much more than that. Trust me and read it.
Now here is where you are really going to have to trust me. Remember I said I had spent the weekend reading Kris Allen/Adam Lambert fic? Well this is that pairing. I read it today. I only had time to read the first bit before work and was so anxious to get to the rest all day. Even if you have no clue who these boys are, even if you don't ever read RPS, give this a try. Just pretend they are characters, because of course they are. It's fiction.
If it Kills Me by

Premise: You know, I typed a summary but it made it sound like cheesy Bad!fic, and trust me, in lesser hands that's just what this would have been, but it's not. Read it.

You're welcome, wasn't it great? I loved how she got into Kris's head and how disconnected he felt after he got home. I can so totally see a person (any person) being affected that way. Her take on Adam was great too.

There really is some great stuff. I suppose in my head I just figured RPS=Bad!fic but there are some super talented writers taking this on. I suppose it helps that the actual guys involved are treating it all with such good humour.
