Oy... we have one of those, too. Empties the feeders every night and then a few mornings ago, our birdhouse was scattered around the yard in pieces. There was previously a family of wrens nesting in there, raising their babies. :( I'm deluding myself into believing they got away, but I'm thinking that's probably not the case. I'm going to find out if the 'critter ridder' we sprinking in the flower beds would be harmful to the birds.
We have a whole family of them living in one of our trees -- mom, dad, and three babies. They're adorable, fun to watch, and leave us and our well-sealed garbage cans alone.
They're so cute in pictures and so creepy in real life. We had a raccoon in our chimney last fall. Animal Control wouldn't get him out, so we had to barricade the fireplace doors for the night and have a private company get it out the next morning. They put a cap on the chimney so that he couldn't come back.
But they are really cute, from a far distance from their disease-ridden bodies.
He looks like one of those little rodent-things in the film version of Alice in Wonderland. :) I still think he's cute! I used to have a possum who lived on my porch... I called him Bitey.
