I need to just shut up and step away from the keyboard and forget all of this.
I've been involved in three fandoms and in every single case the show jumped the shark or the fans in some way got screwed over by TPTB. But in every case I made lots of good friends in the fandom.

TW S3 never happened and I am sure some talented writer will come up with a new canon and that will be that. Are you listening [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge et al?

I'm with you. I had such a hard time with the end of QAF and Xie made it better for me and I look at it differently.

I'm choosing to live in denial and pretend this season of Torchwood didn't happen as well, lol.

I will now go hide in some good Merlin/Arthur fic and a True Blood episode or two where dead isn't really dead.

The series stops at The Dead Line. Children of Earth is Jack's nightmare while he's hooked up to the global phone network. Visualize. See? Much better.

Nope. The series ended in the middle of Exit Wounds, and everything from Owen and Tosh's death to Ianto's death was Jack's nightmare in the freezer chamber.

It really did not make a lot of sense. After two really good episodes to set things up, and nothing happening in the third, the story fell apart. Even the parts I found interesting had nothing to do with TW because the whole thing stopped being about TW. Even Ianto's death seemed kind of arbitrary. I do not understand how anyone thought this was a good idea.

The problem is I am going to be so wary of anything that has RTD name on it coz the man seems to think we have a BDSM relationship going on and not in a good way!.

It has taken ages to get over the finale of QAF and he does it again, so I am done, life is too short for all this anguish

La Femme Nikita, jumped the shark pretty early on but the first season was awesome. Team went on to make the series 24.
