The Church and Gay Marriage: Are Mormons Misunderstood? - TIME
I read this article and am slightly confused with Mr. Pimentel. What's his problem? He doesn't like that he was outed to his neighbors as a hateful bigot? The solution to that it to not be a hateful bigot. His defense is that he's nice to other people, just not the ones his church tells him to hate. Cry me a river.
Oh, and about that headline? No Time, they are understood pretty damn clearly from where I am sitting.

I'm glad the man has some values... but he's still a homophobic bigot.

I think that's what made me even more angry. That he somehow felt because he gives to a specific church approved charity that it somehow absolves him of the fact that he want to deny the rights of others.
If you're going to be a bigot then you need to be prepared to embrace your bigotry and not get all offended when your neighbors find out about it. It's probably tricky to maintain that holier then thou facade when your neighbors are looking at you like you're pond scum.
