I hope it's nice for her but I keep hearing it's going to rain for the next 9 or 10 days. Of course it always seems to rain from late May through the 4th of July almost without fail. Then we get those afternoon boomers the rest of the summer.
I didn't know you had a "rainy season." I thought it was something a bit later, known as...er, the hurricane season? ;D
I've only ever been to FL once, decades ago. It was in the summer and I've never forgotten how incredibly hot it was and how there would be a daily downpour around 1:00 p.m.. It was the sort of thick, concentrated, tropical deluge that you could actually see moving across the road, like a liquid curtain. Afterward, the sun reemerged and the streets were misty as steam rose off them.
