Yeah!

Tonight I went to a big Italian food festival and a kind of amazing thing happened.





I had met the guy who runs the event because our company was one of the sponsors. I had taken some pictures last year and we used them in a banner in a magazine article promoting the event, so he had seen my work. He sought me out and hired me to take pictures for him tomorrow night and Sunday afternoon.
My first free lance job!

Thanks, I use a DSLR (Digital SLR), in this case it was a Canon xti.

Good for you. My daughter loves photography and is quite good. She's done some freelance, but just isn't good at managing the business part of it. She ends up giving her work away or backing down from an offer due to lack of confidence. I guess the business skills and the artistic skills are opposite talents.

Congratulations! You deserve it - your photos are always so lovely. In fact, your pics have comvinced me to start saving up for a proper Digital SLR camera so I can focus on learning how to take proper photos.
