I voted today! That's one FL vote for Obama. The polls were busy but not crowded when I went after work. My parents voted today also (also Obama) and they said there were lines when they went. So looks like a good turnout so far.

I love that I'm using the icon I made during the 2004 DNC.

I wish the election was here and over. I am so ready for some positive energy and repair.

I don't think a day has gone by the last month that I haven't said exactly the same thing. I'm tired of it.

I voted today as well! It took over 90 minutes....but well worth it. They said the turnout on the first day 10/20, in most Florida counties, was more than double what it was in 2004.

I hope it keeps up, I think higher turnout can only benefit the Dems.

Yay for voting! God, I really hope that this goes well. I can't wait to vote in a couple of weeks.

Me too. I really don't want to have to deal with the fallout of another stolen election.

I'm going to vote on Saturday! I remember saying after his keynote speech in 2004, "That's my next president!" ;)

Me too. I should find the date in my LJ, I think I posted it.

Make that 2 Florida votes for Obama. But, I bet that Florida messes up again this election. Why break a perfect record.

Isn't that the truth. They usually get it right in my county but overall the state certainly is incompetent. Were there lines where you were? I heard Jax and Miami both had long long lines.

I managed to get there right after they opened. I was in and out in 20 minutes. The person who runs things here in Lake Co. is about 82 years old, but she runs a tight ship.

However, what worried me while I was waiting to vote was that some people did not seem to realize that the ballot had 2 sides and were only marking the front. That means a problem for Amendment 2, as the bigots will be sure to tell their people to turn the ballot over.

I am envious I'd love to vote early and avoid the crowds but we dont have the ability to do that in New York

It's so nice to be able to vote early. When you work you can pick a day that's convenient and this time they are expecting huge turnout on the 4th so I was able to avoid the crowds.
