Yesterday's tasted great and I would have done really well on the good eating front except a friend brought some of her wedding cake in. You know how wedding cake usually looks great but tastes not so great? Not hers. It was the best wedding cake I have ever eaten in my entire life. Anyway, today was a gym day so I put this one together very early this morning.

On the left are a triangle of Brie, some Ritz, mandarin oranges and blueberries. In the back on the right is a raddichio leaf filled with tuna salad. In front, left to right are sweet and sour cippoline, picked ginger, grape tomatoes and sweet pickles.

Also, I'm finding this tupperware thing is very good for bento but it's a little large for me,I'm full before I finish it. Yesterday I ordered a smaller bento box and I think (hope) it will be better suited to the amount of food that I want to be eating.

Did legs this morning and right now they are feeling pretty shaky! Hope you all have a good one.

don't the crackers get soft?

I adore blueberries and I'm going to try bb's and mandarian's. Soon. Who thought? I didn't.

LOL

I don't know, I'll let you know after lunch! I've never used crackers in one before. I think they'll be ok, they aren't touching any food except the cheese and they are in an airtight container.

You have motivated me. All those bright colours reminded me of how they say that you know you're eating healthy if there are lots of bright colours on your plate. So today after work I went out and bought fruits and cheese and salad fixings. I'm actually excited to make my lunch for work tonight. So, thank you!

Also, I am looking for pointers. Doesn't the tuna salad slop out of the leaf when you try to eat it? (I'm assuming you eat it like a sandwich...)

Yesh! Glad you're inspired. I've found that if I plan ahead and look at other bentos it keeps me motivated to do it. Especially when it's so much cheaper and healthier than buying lunch. As far as the tuna, I use the leaf more as a cup. I turn it over and open it up and eat it with a fork or on a cracker or whatever. You could eat it like a wrap though as long as you make sure the salad isn't too wet.

I love your bentos!!

I brought in a mighty good fruit salad (yesterday) even though I hate fruit, there is some I love, it had blackberries, mango, pineapple and blueberries, turns out the only fruit I like is actually really good for you.

sorry for the mulitple edits, blame Gale, he's short circuited my brain today

Your bento's always makes me hungry! I enjoy them so much - even if it's just with my eyes. Thank you for posting the pics every day. ;)

This still makes me hungry. How did the crackers fare?

They would have been fine if I had put them in a little wrapper like the other stuff. The condensation on the bottom of the box made the bottoms of the crackers soggy. It was ok though since we had a box of crackers at work in the kitchen and I just had a few of those instead.
