Time to Admit It

I've been mulling this over for a few months now and my trip to WDW just confirmed it for me. I ought to have stopped writing QaF at the end of Changes. There just isn't anywhere interesting for me to go at this point. I brought the boys to a natural stopping point and everything since then has been forced or crap or both. I'm just not inspired to write them any more. They're a happy couple in a long term relationship. That's it. Not anything to write about. I know in my head where I wanted to take them for the next year or so but it's not interesting. So I guess I'm done and I'm sorry for the unfinished stuff. Maybe one day I'll want to go back to it. The reason I say that WDW confirmed it for me is that before, any time I went anywhere, I'd picture the boys there and what sorts of situations I could put them in and what photos I'd need to take. Not this time though. I just didn't see them there.

Bizarrely, I did see the Torchwood 3 gang there though and had this very weird and funny image of them chasing some sort of alien around WDW. But of course, who'd believe them? And how would they tell it from the characters? Would they have to venture into Small World? Apparently Jack is afraid of roller coasters, that'd add a bit of humour.Someone needs to write that. I have so many TW bunnies but I don't want to write any of them.

I'm sorry I pretty much never commented on your graphic stories, even though I friended your journal because of the ages ago.

It's always sad to see a story you like not get finished, but thank you for saying it clearly, instead of just dodging questions forever. I've seen that with different writers in different fandoms and it occasionally makes you want to yell "just fess up, you're done here" at your screen. Or dragging on forever, when there is clearly nothing more to tell. A clear break is much less frustrating for the writer and the readers. :o)

If your muses take you Torchwood 3's adventures at WDW, go for it. Sounds like fun! or let it simmer for a while. I just posted my first fanfic days ago, even though I'd had ideas for stories since about three fandoms back. But I'm glad I didn't just post something half-finished, got people all worked up and then never brought anything to an end. Now it's not an elaborate series, that looses it's drive along the way, but something short and (hopefully) funny. apparently I'm much better at that.

Write about QAF, write about TW3, show off your photographs and picture editing. I'd be happy to see any of those, as long as you have fun. And thank you for the wonderful stories you have given us in the last couple of years.

That would not have been fair to anyone. It had just really become apparent that writing B?J had become a chore and that's never going to produce good work.
