oh my goodness. I was just going to compliment you on a great pic of that little dress and coat and you made it yourself?? I must admit my envy..your talent goes from computer graphics(did I say that right?) to sewing and embroidering? My mother could sew like this but I could never get the hang of it..I feel sooo untalented...
Wow, you're up early. I'm in Ireland and I usually don't see your post till about 11am. I haven't even gone to bed yet! Thats two in one day! What'll I do tomorrow with no Adventures.....
I absolutely love this one. That dress is absolutely fabulous, any baby would look adorable in it.
I miss being able to dress my not so little girl in sweet things like that.
How do you think I felt? Almost all boys in my family! You can only dress boys in this kind of thing until they are about three before their father's rebel :-/
I used to make things for the kids of my sister-in-law's sisters. I was dying for baby girls to dress.
Truly, girls are way more fun to dress than boys. :)
And the fathers rebelling, I know all to well. My son had the most adorable curly hair as a baby. I hated to cut it, but my husband got all grumpy about him looking like a girl (which admittedly, he did, a little, it got out of hand:D) and I had to. It never came back. :(
"The dress cost more than her house." Only Debbie. And what a wistful note from Ben.
Well, Debbie has been to Italy, she knows what things like that cost! I agree about Ben, I always remember him wanting to go to Tibet. I think he'd like to travel.
Oh I love these sooooo much. And you made the dress! Wow. I know I haven't commented much lately, rl & illness have kicked my butt. Knowing I could get online and find the latest of Adventures is about all that's kept me going some days.
Oh, and I ordered the book 1000 Things To See...and sent it off to my brother. He's always traveling somewhere and I thought he'd get a kick out of it. Thanks for mentioning it way back, I never would have run across it otherwise.
I love that dress. It's so pretty. I saw in the comments that you made it, and I'm very impressed. Did you make it for a special occasion, like a Christening? I haven't commented in a couple days. I haven't been around much, but I have read all of the posts. Italy is one of those countries that I would really like to visit some day. I'm so in awe of the pictures/places the boys are visiting.

No, I just made it and have it stored for a future family baby. I swore when I made it no one not related to me would ever wear that jacket. My things are made totally by hand, it has 94 hand made buttonholes on it. What a pain in the ass, lol.
If you click on that link to the side that says 'Heirlooms' I have a lot of baby things there (including this dress and jacket.) There are quite a few Christening gowns there. I used to make them for people for special order. But they take forever and cost a fortune. When the store that I worked for closed (owner retired) I stopped doing it except for myself.
I'm so impressed by that. My grandmother does a lot of her own sewing. It takes a while for everything she makes, and she uses a sewing machine. It must really take you forever to make those. What a great gift for anyone in your family.
Oh, it's so pretty!! Love Michael's comment about Hunter, and that Deb made them change Jenny Rebecca before they had cake. Also love that the screening of Rage is at World Pride!

:)) Oh Hunter! ♥
It's strange to read that someone just woke up when I'm more or less about to go to bed myself. ;))

Afternoon nap. Some days it's inevitable.

Don't feel that way, if it's not your thing, it's not your thing. My grandmother was convent educated and she sewed these kinds of things.

Wow.

I haven't gone to bed for real yet, I fell asleep watching TV. It's only 5 in the afternoon. I sleep a lot.

For some reason it makes me laugh that Hunter needs watching. :D
