Are Melanie and Lindsay together in this universe?
No, they were apart when last I saw them so that's how they are. If that has changed in S5 I don't want to know about it. I can't stand Melanie, I find her hypocritical and obnoxious so I wont be at all sorry if they stay apart.
Mel so treats Brian like shit all the time... I know it was early days, but I swear I haven't forgiven her for the way she ripped into him over the Ted-in-coma issue in 104. Everything after that has more or less gone downhill.
For me it was the leather ball thing. She cheats on Lindsay and leaves her and the baby alone and then has the gall to tell Brian that at least she knows Gus' needs come before her own. Oh yeah? Since when? Would that be something she learned after she destroyed his family?
Also the way she acted last season to Lindsay. OMG. Pot. Kettle. Black. It's as though she has totally erased from her memory that she did the exact same thing. Does she think it's okay to cheat with another woman but not with a man? Hypocrite.
I guess Mel came off all wrong to me from the first moment I laid eyes on her. The Ted coma thing. The million dollar insurance thing. And how she actually had the gall to blame Brian for ruining her relationship with Lindz.
Not to mention the fact that she's NEVER given him credit for anything he's ever done. Brian actually supported her during the time she was estranged from Lindz, and then he saved their relationship by signing off his parental rights to her for Gus, and then he actually helped save their wedding ceremony, got them rings, got everyone together to plan it and execute it.
And she's forgotten it all.
I can't stand people who never give credit where it's due. No matter how much she can't stand him, if she's supposedly so honest and smart, she should recognise it when he does something nice.
I don't think Brian is ever that bitter about Mel, as she is about him.

Mel probably was Justin's idea but Jenny is Michael's child after all. I'm sure Brian thinks of her as his niece.
