Everytime I read our cave, I have this image of prehistoric!Brian with a club.

Does it echo in there? I'm imagining when they made love, every little gasp must be magnified back to them. *fans self*

I always thought the ice hotel was kinda cool but this is waaay better. Love Justin reassuring his mom not to worry about them.

The ice hotel is fun too but it doesn't have the history behind it that this does. I just love the idea of these really beautiful rooms in the side of a mountain.

His letter to his mom is sweet. He is so reassuring in it. He's so cute. I really like this part of their trip. It's so interesting and different. I want to live in that hotel. It's so neat.

I think he knows that Jennifer is something of a worrier by nature.

I just marvel at this! What a great hotel. When I win the lottery, I'm heading here first thing!

(I work retail, too. I'll never get there under my own steam. ;-) )

I love that Justin's explanation of the hotel to his mom nearly mirrors Brian's explanation in the last entry. And I love Justin reassuring Jen.

This place is so interesting. I'm loving the pictures.

Something about the caves just speaks to me, it seems like such a comforting idea.

Such an awesome town. I would totally live in that little tower/hut thing. Of course, I'd have to import internet, but otherwise, I could live there quite happily for some time. [/channeling Westley]

Love the aside about Justin's book deal.

You could have a little satellite dish on the side of it...

just out of curiousity, how do you collect data about the places the boys visit? Travel books or personal experience?

Great job by the way, gave me a glimpse of what was right beside my door but I hadn't been able to see myself.

I use everything. Books, The internet, magazines, maps, experience, other people's experience, TV. I research constantly. I have a really loose route planned for them and I research each area as I go along, finding the best places. If I stumble across something I make note of it and add it to the itinerary if I can.

That's a great idea. I might use your route for my travel plans too. Maybe you can even turn this into a travel book. Just replace the names and voila!
