I love that this is on my friends page every morning. I usually save it for last. It's like dessert after everything else. The pictures in this one are great. I noticed the short shorts guy, and then when I read the comment I laughed so hard. I figured the picture was about the camel, but nope they put it in there to make fun of that guy. Hmmmm, did they follow the footprint?
I love their little hotel. And the short shorts comment was hilarious.
It's quite appalling that so much of Turkey's national treasures are hanging in some foreign museum. (I believe that large parts of the Pantheon are exibited in the British museum as well...)
Love the camel picture! Love Brian's comments about the short-shorts. And I *love* Justin's comment about the ruts from the chariots. That's totally the kind of thing I would geek out over.
Ooh, Turkey! I really love their hotel and the fact that Brian made funny comments about that guy's shorts. Also, I agree with Justin...walking along the same road chariots have once ridden is really cool!
I've been keeping up with your adventures for weeks and finally found your LJ to post a comment (call it one of my blonder moments, LOL) I love this series. The travel journal is awesome. This is definitely one of the most creative and enjoyable projects I've seen. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thanks very much, I'm glad you're enjoying it. Did you read Correspondence? This is a sequel to that, though it stands alone. May I ask how you found it? I don't think I know of anyone else who reads it at the web site. (Not that I mind of course!)

It really is awful, and it's not just Turkey.

Glad you're happy with the choice. I really didn't know much about Turkey before I researched it for this, what a beautiful place it is!

Oh me too. I'd have my hand in the ruts, "Imagine, a chariot made this!"

Seemed like the sort of thing he would find amusing :-)

I just knew Brian would have something to say about that guy.

That guy does look good in them though.
