I could swear there's a song with Zanzibar in it...
HA. They wrote earlier that they like keeping a separate journal from this one so they can leave stuff out of this one that they wouldn't want Jennifer to see. I guess they think the story of their desperate search for condoms won't phase her
I'm so behind on this because I found 'Correspondence' late, but every time you post a new one, I can't stop myself from taking a peek at the pictures :) I just wanted to agree with Gio. I must stay at this place. I just spent the last half hour looking through the website when I should be working, and I've decided I want to stay in the Suite Pavillion...omg, that bed!
the thought of them not being able to find condoms really stressed me out, Quinn!! you angsted me!
Sorry! Just remember they have FedEx, if it came right down to it they'd just have to be careful for a day or two until an emergency package could be sent :-)
funny to think of something like condoms being such a problem but it's true... anyway, I think I need another map. I have no idea where they are or where they're going or where they've been anymore... :) My African geography sucks...
Condoms would be in the next diplomatic pouch from Cynthia! Didn't the old theme song from the Patty Duke Show have Zanzibar in it (ahem, I only saw it on reruns, yeah, right).
I think I stopped in Dar es Salaam on my way down to Malawi (it's been nearly 26 years since I made the trip--it could have been Nairobi). We got off a British Airways flight to see armed soldiers at the airport. Never did find out if that was the rule or if they had had trouble.

I took one look at that restaurant/lounge and knew that was where they were staying!
Here is the hotel website (http://www.zanzibar.org/emegre/mainframe.htm)

Have you seen the suites? I would go totally crazy in a place like that...it would be like being in paradise...*sighs*

Brian and Justin are in the Keep Suite :-)
I'm sending them to a really amazing place in a couple of days, can't wait for you to see that one!

Never even crossed my mind to go to Zanzibar and now it's moved near the top of my 'when I win lotto...' list.

Don't feel bad. I thought Zanzibar was a fake place until I found it on the map, lol.

A perfect example of why you should check out the non-chain out the way places.
