Is that how Henry Thomas looks these days? He was cute in ET (it's interesting how cute-looking children don't always grow up to look cute; while not-so-cute-looking kids can grow up to be stunning). The jacket on Russ is apalling but I guess it beats the flannel he always seemed to wear when he was going out with Meg Ryan *remembers Cody quip*. And look at young, sad Justin - it's making me teary with nostalgia. I haven't been to Toronto in 15 years, I wonder how much it has changed.
Wow, that looks very real! Great job on the graphics. The picture you chose is great because Justin's hair is very season 4-ish in, well, the beginning of season 2. LOL. Apparently Brian's bracelet is back, though
I love the mention of the Christian fundamentalists! Very amusing. Also, it's good that this came out *after* they had visited the bible belt, lol.
Wow! That's totally awesome Quinn! So well done. And so fun! In so many ways I can't even think of where to begin. So I'll just applaud your talent and brilliant ideas and let that be that. *applauds*
Once again Quinn, your detail in blending graphics is great. Thanks for a super entry. BTW, how long does it take to make one of these? This one seems to incorporate several different things, I would assume it's much harder that a single letter entry? Just wondered.

You're right, a plain letter or a postcard is fairly quick. The hardest part is writing the text with those. This one has a lot of layers going on. I had to make the actual photograph and that involved three orginals, the one of Henry Thomas, the one of Russell Crowe and the one with Randy and Gale. Those had to be blended and made to look like a newspaper picture.
Then I had to scan an actual newspaper, remove the article that was there and write a new one. In all of these, even if you don't see the entire article or bit of text (as here) there actually is an entire thing written.
Once I had the paper put together I had to put it on the Liberty Diner counter, which involved finding out about what colour the counter is, then I found a picture of a coffee cup at the right angle (I take my own a lot but I had this one already in my stock photos). Added the coffee stains.
Then I had to find an order pad and write the note from Kiki.
This one probably took 2-3 hours start to finish.
A lot of them don't take much time at all technically, but researching them takes quite a while. The shortest ones probably take 15 minutes, the longest probably took 12 hours. It's a wide range.
As long as I don't forget. It was fun last time. Tyey answered a lot of questions. I'm excited about the expansion. I'm not playing my families too much right now so that this batch of kids can go to college.

He actually is quite good looking. That's not the best picture and I had to smudge it up a lot to make it look like a low end newspaper photo.

Thanks! Can you imagine the brou-ha-ha if this film was actually made?
