"I always loved Liberace dear" - LOL! I can just picture Brian's face when the lady said that to him! I also thought the "It does not" / "Does so" was very cute.
Very true that Graceland is tacky, I was bored with it in the first, 30 seconds or so. Well, seeing as tne Jr. High here pricipal owns like half of it, it was even more boring. However, I would like to note, not all of us here are rednecks. For some strange reason I have always talked northern...eh. And, some of us actually do have style....

Oh I know. I went to college (the first time) in the south and have lived more than half my life in the south. I have to admit though that the whole Graceland thing just screams 'redneck' to me.
I can picture Brian's expressions both to the woman's comment and to Justin's comment about the sofa. I like the mentions of the other characters, in this case Emmett and Debbie. It still has the "group of friends" vibe even if Brian and Justin are traveling.
I just wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying your new opus. The thought of Brian getting accosted by Liberace-loving old ladies at Graceland makes me giggle.
So many little things to love in this one. Justin's reaction to the Liberace lady, the "does not", "does so" exchange, Brian's little addition about the Jack Daniels Distillery, and the "there won't be a safe faux leopard within 500 miles of the Pitts" line that nearly killed me. What's strange (and an incredible compliment to you) is that I actually felt like I was reading something Brian and Justin wrote. :D
You don't know me, but I live close to Memphis (and am also a fan of QAF), but I just wanted to let you know that Amnesia actually closed a year or two ago. It was replaced with an upscale NY/LA type regular nightclub called Senses.
However, Backstreet, with a replica of Babylon, is still open. :)

Ack! Thanks for the heads up. I'll do an edit and send them to Backstreet instead :-)

Also: omg Graceland!! I *so* loved the jungle room! Everything was kind of surreal, but that's why I loved it so much... ;-)

I'm with Justin, I think it does look similar :-)

Thanks! Poor Brian, first the 'honeymoon' comment and now his sofa looks like one Elvis owned, lol

That's too funny! I also loved the does not/does so interaction. It was cute, and I can picture it happening.

I was kind of off-put by the "ROTFLMAO" though... I don't think Justin would write that.

I think you're right. I took it out. Thanks :-)
