I like it when Brian becomes maudlin, especially when he tries to keep it to himself. Wonder what comment Justin would leave in Brian's journal if he read that.
Summer is winding down and Brian is getting a little introspective. It's nice that Brian can admit to his age and realize it's not as terrifying as he once thought. He has accomplished quite a lot in life. He's the head of a successful advertising agency. He has a son and a partner he loves and who loves him.

At this point he can see that he's got so much more in his life than just tricking. Everything that seemed so important when he was 27 is kind of minimized by what he has at 37.
Summer is winding down... that makes me maudlin. Heh. I hope that there are further ideas brewing in your little head. I love reading all your posts. Thanks.
the pic is fabulous!!! and i love brian's gratitude that his life is better than he ever expected. great entry.
Thanks! I think Brian was so afraid of the dreaded 'gay middle age' that he never really had a chance to imagine the great things he might have. He was pretty much forced against his will into starting Kinnetik and it turned out to be the best thing he could have done.
This is lovely and beautiful. It always gets me when Brian expresses his love for Justin, it is so right that he does that. Love that pic of Justin and Gus too. Thank you for this great entry.

I love introspective Brian. While he's never been one to throw his feelings out there, especially if they're feelings of contentment, it's nice to see him take a moment and reflect on the good things that have happened in his life. He worked hard and played hard, and these are his rewards for that.

I do too but it happens rarely and only when he's tired.

2. It's great that we get this view into Brian's private thoughts.
3. While I'm sad to see this segment winding down, I'm looking forward to the Fall. :D
