Well, I'm relieved. Brian was really very lucky that the decision to fly back to NY didn't end up costing him. Peritonitis from a ruptured appendix is nasty.
I really feel for Justin here. He sounds like he needs to eat something and just decompress for awhile then get some sleep. And Justin, sweetie, it's not stupid at all to think about the last time Brian had surgery at a time like this. *pets them both*
I liked the detail about Justin not remembering exactly which one of Ted or Cynthia has Brian's stuff. A great glimpse into what Justin's mindframe was like while they were waiting for news.
Hi! I'm sort of de-lurking here because I've been reading ever since Changes and I don't think I've commented more than once or twice...I wanted to say that I'm so glad you decided to continue with the Summer series, and the appendicitis arc has been especially well done. :)
Sounds like laproscopic surgery -- I've had it and scars are minimal.
Me too. And doesn't it hurt a whole lot more than they lead you to believe beforehand? I thought it'd be a piece of cake but I hurt like hell for a week.
Agreed! AND, they never seem to tell you about your shoulder aching like hell as the gas tries to find a place to escape...but it does beat adominal surgery.
Great arc Quinn, beautifully intriguing and suspensful. Excellent insight into how justin would be feeling with wallet and stuff. Well done Cheers Chris
It's so great that they caught it in time! My husband's appendix actually burst, and it was many weeks of recovery. Thankfully, Brian doesn't have to go through all that!
Now, Justin better get him some real clothes. I can't imagine Brian being very happy in a hospital gown!

I love that Brian has so much support (and is willing, this time, to take it).
Justin's description of the surgery "scars" is almost like he's practicing to tell Brian (who will still be beautiful).

Get well soon, Brian!

I wonder what'll happen now - Justin going right back to L.A., or will he stay a while?

Great story arc. I'm sure Justin is looking forward to seeing Brian awake and giving him a hug and a kiss.

I'm sure Justin will find a way to cheer him up... :-)

Also, Justin = adorable. I love the little list of things he starts making toward the end of the entry.
