This is very tense. I thought the reference to Brian not telling anyone about the cancer because they would be useless was very poignant.

I already commented on the next entry but I wanted to come back to this one because it was so good. I really liked that Cynthia went with them to the hospital and was so worried and anxious waiting for news. It's nice seeing someone outside of Brian's normal circle of friends who cares about him so much.
