For some reason I thought Dick Francis had died so I thought the new book was a re-issue of an old one. I look forward to your review.

He retired from writing after his wife dies, I was stunned to see a new one on the shelf at the bookstore! And it's Sid Halley.

The wait period at our local library is 71 days for this, so I have not yet read it. I hope it is as great as all his other books, (and I have read them all). His late wife did all the editing on his books, some misguided souls even claimed that she wrote them, but I don't believe that. I can't wait to get my hands on this one.

I LOVE Dick Francis.

I so did the happy dance in the bookstore! I've read every one of his books over and over again.

I read this one a couple of days ago and it was nice to see Sid Halley back...:)

Speaking of horse fic, have you ever read any John Francome? I got one of his from Amazon used books a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. Also, I've discovered Kit Ehrman and her Steve Cline mysteries which aren't too bad.
