<<<and isn't it wonderful that your company HAS a plan?)>>>
OMG yes! The plan began execution this morning. You should see my office. It's the largest one without windows (since there are six of us in here.) there are now five giant Plasma screens in here (not counting the one on the wall.) They are evacuees from other offices. At 3:30pm today all power will be cut to our office so that the emergency generator can be tested. I'm going home at that point, some of us are going to out Network Operations Center. It's really nice to know what to expect at any given time.
I'm right there too, Quinn! I live just east of Lake Okeechobee in Wellington (near West Palm), which is the center of the path! My husband is ready to hop a flight to New Jersey and stay with his folks.
Schools are already closed tomorrow, so I'm working from home and closing up my hurricane shutters. Thank God we got the accordians last year!
Be safe, and good luck (again, unfortunately)!!!!!
And as of 5pm they're saying Ernesto should come ashore as a strong tropical storm instead of a Cat 1. Oh well, I guess we should be thankful for small favors!
Isn't this just insane? Looks as though it's going to be a trpoical storm, which is actually worse. We won't close for that and I'll have to try and drive to and from work in it. :/

sitting here in Orlando...
Good luck to all of you down south, we're hoping it makes a hard right turn and goes out over the Atlantic instead.
Sheesh. First we have no rain for months and have water restrictions and brush fires everywhere. Now we have the prospect of flooding.

No hurricanes up here in Ohio, just flooding and tornados.
