He is a beautiful boy isn't he? I keep track of him throught Tim Wooley racing which has a daily update on how he's doing, his press clippings etc. He has fans all over the world now, sending him good wishes and all kinds of presents.
Isn't it amazing how many people can rally around a horse. I don't follow racing but this horse just grabbed my heart. Must be from watching Seabiscuit a gillion times. Love that movie.
There was an article in the NY Post today about a colt trained by Shug McGaughey who just broke his maiden. His dam had almost the same injury during a race and they were going to put her down on the track, but the own, Dinny Phipps, stopped them. She went to the same place Barbaro is now and they put her leg back together and she now has three foals. So there are success stories!
