I'm on a new shift at work. This is the shift I have been wanting since day 1. 7:30-4:30. I haven't really adjusted to it. Especially since my overtime is in the AM, so that means I'm often there at 6. Every night this week I've fallen asleep before 8:30pm (except on Wednesday, I managed to see Project Runway.) It's 7 and I'm sitting here yawning my head off.
This week:
The Good:
My insurance deduction went down by a lot.
Our dental coverage doubled.
I became eligable for and enrolled in our 401K program.
I found out that as of now they have no intention of hiring a Web Designer/Video Producer to do the job I am doing 'temporarily.' (Yeah!)
I made a fantastic spot for World Trade Center (if I say so myself)
Also they are considering having me as senior technical consultant. Which will get me off a lot of the calls I hate doing.
I got a shiny new monitor.
I found out that I still have all five of my sick days. Which means I will have lots of time off beginning in September.
The Bad:
I'm going to the allergist for a scratch test to find out what new and fun allergy I have.
We have a new person in our department who is irritating in the extreme. Very sweet but OMG. Bet he was always picked last for games.
The Very Very Bad
The 12 year old son of one of our construction guys died suddenly and none of us knew until after the funeral because he doesn't speak english and he didn't come into the office to tell our HR person until the next day. So sad.

I really wanted to too, but I can't seem to stay awake! Maybe tonight I can catch up or tomorrow and write of my growing love for Michael and my opinion that in this case the person auf'd was the right one.

Here's a Very Very Good Thing
And take some anti-histamines and forget the doctor..
It will all be over by fall, at the latest winter..

Thanks very much but I'm afraid that will not work in my case. For one thing, this isn't the runny nose etc. type of allergy, this is the breaking out in hives could lead to anyphylaxis type of allergy. I do have the runny nose etc. type too. But here in FL it doesn't go away in fall or winter. We have year round allergy season :/

My sister has had the scratch test more than once. She did NOT find it amusing. Hopefully, your MD will figure out what is causing the problem. For my sister, she's allergic to anything that's living. LOL.
Sorry to hear about your construction worker. That's horrible. I know how upset I am about loosing my kitty to cancer. I can't imagine what it would be like to loose a child.

I'm trying really hard not to think about it. As you know my nerves are not the greatest at the best of times!

It's so awful. And no one had any idea what was going on. The company is taking up a collection. The guy basically digs ditches for a living, I doubt there was much for the funeral. I don't know if he was on our medical plan or not. I hope so.
