Good morning,

No Changes today. Taking a break.
ETA: Now that I have a minute I can admit I'm kind of forced to take a break because I made the mistake of putting water in my pool. Which meant handling a rubber hose. I am allergic to latex. Yes, it was a really stupid thing to do and I'm paying for it with arms covered in itchy welts.

I'm very sorry to hear about your trouble with the hose, but I'm actually a bit stunned to hear that you actually have a real 'rubber' hose around or are you actually allergic to certain plastic's as well? Around here (the Netherlands, Europe) all water hoses are made of plastic, I would not know where to find some of actual rubber.
I do hope your itchy welts disappear ASAP, get well soon!

Needless to say I didn't buy the stupid rubber hose. We have two, one at each side of the house and the one I normally use is plastic. But I have to crawl over shrubbery to get to it. I was on my way out to dinner when I went to fill the pool and didn't want to climb over the shrubs. I never even thought about the fact that the hose was rubber. I just grabbed it and dragged it to the pool. Dumb.

Quinn, I have latex allergy too and it can be pretty dangerous. When I had back surgery a few years ago, the hospital had to create what they call a "latex-free environment." I was told that some nurses had to change careers after developing a latex allergy from using rubber gloves. They do have non-latex gloves and stuff now, fortunately. People can die from exposure to latex in some cases so it's not a minor thing.

I know! I'm really lucky to have only had a topical reaction. At work they are very careful to keep rubber bands out of my office. My Dr.'s and dentists and hairdresser all know and I don't go anywhere near balloons. I can't imagine how I could have been so stupid as to go near that hose.
