Hurricane Season

It's the first day of hurricane season. Yippy. Watching the news is like being constantly reminded that you have a target painted on your back. And your roof.

Hurricane season for you is almost like tornado season for me because I live in tornado alley. Although we were spared this year except for the people in McKinney because they had an F3 tornado early last month. Lets hope that we don't see any storms like we did last year.

Amen-- and this year I own a house so I'm even more worried. Hopefully, there won't be too much damage on the country this year.

My husband keeps saying one more hurricane (we had three hit us in 15 months!) and we're moving back to the Northeast. I told him accoring to reports I heard, the Northeast is due for a major hurricane this year!

Oh well, I got my batteries, portable fans & tv, lights, candles, butane cooker, gas for the grill, and water. I'm as ready as I can be!

Here's hoping it's a mild one this year!

We are due to holiday in Orlando/cruise in the Caribbean from late August to early September - we'll be weather-watching extremely closely!

It's been weird for us here, because normally PR is hit and Florida was spared, and it's been topsy turvy these past years.

I'm hoping (and praying) nothing of last year's magnitude happens again.

It's seems like last year's hurricane season just ended. I can't believe it's time for it to start up again. Here's hopin' 2006 is better than 2005!

I was soooo thinking about you today with all the hurricane season talk. If if makes you feel any better earthquake season is a year round festival for me. :(
