I was just watching CNN and there was a report about a doctor who ended up giving his own blood to a patient during an operation because the patient has a very rare blood type and the doctor was the only one who could be found in the middle of the night in El Salvador with that type. According to the report the Red Cross says that only 2% of the population has B- type blood. I have B- type blood. I had no idea it was so rare. I wish I could say that I help the problem by donating my blood but I don't. I'm not allowed because I have anemia. Now I'm paranoid about the possibility of needing blood some day.

I am attending a wedding next Saturday and I have nothing to wear. I have to go buy a dress today. I don't feel like shopping and I don't really want to spend the money on a dress but I don't really have any choice. I'm working every day between now and then, including the day of the wedding. Oh and new dress almost certainly means new shoes. Nortmally this would be good but the budget is really tight this week.

I'm on call this weekend. I hope everyone is too busy doing whatever they do on this holiday and leaves me alone.

Yesterday I spent a chunk of my day reading Correspondence. I wanted to refresh my memory about some things that I had established as canon in my fic world. I miss that fic. I like the letter format much more than the journal format. But not enough to split the boys up so I can do it again! One thing I miss is that I was writing that fic so far ahead of posting it that I had a lot of time to devote to the graphics. Sometimes Changes feels slap-dash to me. I guess that's the nature of working full time and posting daily.

Good luck with your dress shopping. I hate when I have to shop under time & monetary restraints. I hope you can find a great, unexpected bargain.

Changes doesn't feel slap-dash to me, as the reader. Be assured that it appears just as polished as Correspondence (one of the first fanfics I ever read).

This is completely OT but I keep forgetting to email you.

A while back you were asking about latex free bandaids, I believe. I bought some at Zellers recently that are latex free. The brand is "Truly" (I think it's the Zellers brand.) They are "plastic bandages"...outside of the box says "Latex-free adhesive. Hypoallergenic" and each individual bandaid inside is labelled "Latex-free". Could you use these? If you don't have Zellers there I'd be happy to pick up a couple of packages for you - I should be near one in the next few days. :)

Someday soon I will get caught up on Changes!

Changes definitely doesn't feel slap-dash from my point of view. It's as imaginative and well constructed as Correspondence etc. In other words, I love reading it and I'll be disappointed when it comes to an end.

You never know, the shopping might energize you. You sound like Justin!

I've loved everything you've done (Snowin and Blownin, too!). I like that you are your own worst critic, it shows you care. But, like the others, I don't think it is Slap and Dash at all. I will miss it and you.

I just had to respond as a fellow B- blood type. We're blood buddies! lol
My daughter's is even more rare (she's AB-).

Changes definitely doesn't feel slap-dash to me either. I honestly don't know how you do it.

Now you've got me all nostalgic and wanting to go back and re-read correspondence. Alas, if only I had the time.

hi - i've followed everything you've done tho i've not commented. Changes is wonderful and i look forward to your instalments each day (start my day with it!!). So thank you for all your effort and it is FAR from slap-dash.

I'm Asian and many Asians (especially Indians) have B and AB blood-type. My daughter is Chinese-Indian mix with B (my father-in-law was B), my husband is AB-. I'm Chinese with O which is common for the Chinese. That's a real mixed bag for you! And O is the universal donor, so make sure you have some friends with O type!

I like that you post daily, but you are the one who decides how often you post. If you only posted every-other day, or didn't post on weekends or holidays, you might have more time to actually work on the graphics and might be happier with the results. I guess what I'm saying is it's your fic, so you should focus on making yourself happy with it rather than meeting a deadline readers are expecting just because in the past you had enough free time to meet it.

I am O- and can give to everyone. I can only take O- in case something bad happens but can give, and do. It was a pain waiting a whole year after my last tattoo to give again but made up for it !!!

I love Changes- it really makes my day to open my work computer up and see your post frist thing in the am!! Thank you!

I love your fics and changes certainly doesn't feel slapdash to me. I been reading your stuff so long now that your are now part of my morning routine, right after brush teeth & before put on makeup. LOL

As for dress shopping, I can never do it on a budget or for an event. I know I will have at least one formal/dressy event a year if not more so what I do is buy whenever I see it on sale. It sits in the closet until I need it and then I don't have to dress about buying an outfit last minute.

That is *such* a smart idea!

I reread Correspondence (my personal favorite, too) and Adventures not too long ago. I'd seen the names Myrna & Ethan mentioned on the ShoBoards and they were the first fics I read (at work! shhh.... lol) But when I got a computer, finally, at home last fall, Adventures was the first fic I found on my own as I began my rambles through the world of fanfic. What a happy weekend that way for me! Love them both, along with your subsequent stories. I can see why you like the letter format better but, rest assured, the journals make for some very, very happy readers, too. And Changes most definitely doesn't feel at all thrown together. If you'd never mentioned that you were writing it mostly in real-time, I'd never know. *fangirls you*

Hey Quinn

Now that you mention CORRESPONDANCE I have a question.

Is there a way to save your series as a whole? I mean not every day
but the whole story as a block.

I'm afraid not, the file would be enormous. The only way I know of would be to save each graphic but save them all in one folder. Then you could view them as a slide show.

Good luck finding a dress. I've got to get one for a formal event I'm going to in September. I expect the whole experience to be traumatic. LOL. Dress designers don't understand the concept of short and fat.

I didn't realize B- was so rare. I'm O, which is great, but I'm a chicken when it comes to needles so I don't donate like I should.
