I've been awful about posting my 50 Books! Here's an update:
50bookchallenge
1 - Julie & Julia
2 - The Olive Farm
3 - Playing With Trains
4 - Queens in the Kingdom
5 - Tender at the Bone
6 - Comfort Me with Apples
7 - Garlic and Saphires
8 - The Kid by Dan Savage
9 - Memory in Death by J.D. Robb
10 - Since The World Began: Walt Disney World, the First 25 Years by Jeff Kurtii
11 - Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
12 - Airborn by Kenneth Oppel
13 - Skybreaker by Kenneth Oppel
14 - The Resuce Artist, by Edward Dolnick
15 - The Commitment, Love, Sex, Marriage and My Family, by Dan Savage
16 - Hamlet by William Shakespeare.
17 - Amadeus by Peter Shaffer
18 - Kentucky Rich by Fern Michael.
19 - Take Me Out by Richard Greenberg. One of you (and you know who you are!) was so sweet and sent me this after I said I was looking for it. I really enjoyed it and it was much more intense than I expected it to be.
Continuing on in the Drama mode,
20 - MacBeth by William Shakespeare. The second of the Slings and Arrows plays. It's never been one of my favourites but I enjoyed reading it again.
21 - Memoirs of a Geisha, by Arthur Golden. I put off reading this one because it got a split review in my family. My sister loved it and my mother hated it. It's hard for me to judge, my sister and I don't always agree on books but sometimes we do and it's the same with my mother. They both like chick-lit and I don't. I was afraid this was going to fall into that category. It didn't though and I enjoyed it very much. Especially since my education in Japanese Embroidery involves a good bit about Kimono (since that what's it's used for) so I enjoyed the desctiptions of the various garments as well as enjoying the story.
I've also read a couple of books I can't list here because they fall under research for Changes. Oh and I started A Year in the World by Frances Mayes but I put it down. Can't seem to get into it.
ETA: I can't believe I forgot one!: 22: Without You by Anthony Rapp. - Run, don't walk, and buy it. Seriously. What a fantastic book. In case you don't know Anthony Rapp was in the original cast of Rent and also in the film. This is a memoir that takes mostly in that time frame and covers some really emotional and draining family things that were going on with him at the same time he was achieving this incredible success in his career. It's excellent. This guy holds back nothing and tells things most of us would not tell anyone. It's honest, and moving and really insightful.

Darren Lemming, the star center fielder for the world champion New York Empires, is young, rich, famous, talented, handsome and so convinced of his popularity that when he casually announces he's gay, he assumes the news will be readily accepted by everyone. It isn't.

Oh no, some of it is laugh out loud funny. But it has some sadness to it and anger and frustration and all those other things.

best book taken originally from a blog. I think it's
going to be an annual thing.

I just told her I was finished with them and would bring them back. I did it when we were busy so she didn't have a chance to ask me about them. With any luck I can return them at a busy moment too!
