1. Julie & Julia
2. The Olive Farm
3. Playing With Trains
4. Queens in the Kingdom
5. Tender at the Bone
6. Comfort Me with Apples
7. Garlic and Saphires
8. The Kid by Dan Savage

9. Memory in Death by J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts) - Finally some fiction! I love these Eve Dallas/Roark books. They're fun and sexy and easy. I'd call them a guilty pleasure but I never feel guilty about reading anything. This one was just as good as all the others and I particularly enjoyed the holiday timing of it.

I just finished reading Memory in Death also. Although I love this particular series of books, for some reason I just can't get in to the regular romances by Nora.

Haven't read it yet - prolly will this weekend, but I love the Eve/Roarke books. I have thought since, oh, about 1/2-way through the first episode of QAF that Brian (well, Gale as Brian) would make a kick-ass Roarke. (It's a game for me to decide who would be a good Roarke.)

I enjoyed this one quite a bit and I thought the last one (Origin in Death) was one of the better books in the series. My one complaint is that it is taking forever for little Eve or Roarke to be born.

Do they want a little Eve or little Roarke? They're also younger than I always think they are. Like 30-32ish? I have them in my mind at the 36-38 (eve) and 39-45 (Roarke).

Also there is almost no time at all between books. This is only their second Christmas together, even though there have been about fifteen books or something.

I was referring to her best friend's pregnancy which is freaking out Eve so much. The friend (whose name escapes me at this moment) teasingly call talks about little Eve or Roarke because she has not yet picked out a name for her baby and she likes to get a rise out of Eve. I read somewhere that the author has already decided that Eve will not get pregnant unless she plans to bring the series to an end.

Mavis-that's it. I could not remember that name to save my life and I have read every book in the series. I must be getting old.
