Hmm, I have to side with Mikey on this one. Diamond earrings don't exactly go with sandboxes and um, whatever else 3-yr-olds get up to. I can just imagine the scene when she clomps home from a playdate at the park and one of 'em is missing. :p
I agree with you, it's totally inappropriate. They're tiny little studs though and probably look just like the fake ones some of her playmate might be wearing. Though when I was growing up I was always jealous of the little girls next door who actually had tiny diamond studs. I was still ten years from being allowed to even get my ears pierced!
I think it's kinda cute, but one of those gifts that you save for her 16th birthday or maybe break out for a very special occasion. But I love Brian's first line of defense being Justin was there too.

Totally agree, it's very inappropriate. But the kind of thing Brian would do. They were probably shopping for a present for someone else and bought them on impulse or something.
Argh. I can't stand those pesky lesbians. I don't think there was anything wrong with the gift. The boys can afford to get her a pair of diamond earrings. Plus...they'd look adorable on her! Unless JR is going to be taking them off on her own, I don't see the problem.

Actually quite a lot of tiny girls here in FL wear diamond studs. I think it may be actually a bit of common sense. If a baby is going to have earrings you don't want to have to change them very much so they better be good quality.

A girl's gotta learn early that the good stuff comes in blue boxes tied with white ribbon.

I was going to say the same thing!!!
I want an uncle Brian (and a semi-uncle Justin) too! And yes, diamonds do are girl's best friends. ;-)
:x:x:x:x

Yup. I looked at the red boxes too but didn't see anything small enough for a child :-)

You can never start too early with the good stuff.

But, you know, Brian would do this JUST to get Melanie's goat as well. I loved that Michael was the one who emailed him.

I suspect anything Melanie said would be likely to result in Jenny getting a Tiara or something for the next occasion!

Make sure you let Brian know when my bday is. Kthanks. ;)

I like that Brian is not willing to share all the blame for everything any more :-)
