I'll be spending a good portion of my weekend taking down Christmas lights etc. It's fairly cold here (for Fl) so at least I wont be broiling in the sun while I do it.
I have a video that I want to see but it's in mp4 format. Anyone know how I can watch it? nevermind.

1. Julie & Julia
2. The Olive Farm
3. Playing With Trains
4. Queens in the Kingdom: The Ultimate Gay and Lesbian Guide to the Disney Theme Parks by Jeffrey Epstein and Eddie Shapiro
gaedhal recommended this one to me for research purposes. I wouldn't mention it as one of my fifty except that it was such a delightful read. It's not actually current (being three years old) but worth having just to read it.
"Because Disney parks are crowded and bustling and there's tons of stuff to look at, it's easy to lose a child (especially if you're a bad parent.)"
"Rainy days in FL significantly diminish attendance at the Magic Kingdom and Dsiney MGM Studios. And that's why Eddie loves to go in the rain and walk onto every ride. Jeffrey prefers to stay in the hotel and complain. Now, Eddie knows that the rainy method of touring pretty much destroys your hair and makeup, but think of all the time you'll save - with which you can recoif."
About Disney's Wilderness Lodge - "This place is perfect for bears and lesbian logger types with money. We're neither."
About Shades of Green (this hotel is owned by the US Military for the use of it's members) - "So unless you're really looking to put "Don't ask, don't tell" to the test, our code of conduct dictates "don't stay." Needless to say we've never been inside. We don't think they'd like us. We've never even trolled the grounds looking for drunken sailors.
"There is no doubt in our minds that Animal Kingdom was designed by every homo in the Disney corral."
About Pleasure Island: "Local singles converge there along with park staff who go there to get off after they've gotten off. Trust us, cruising is much easier here than in the line for Dumbo."
She also recommended Tinker Belles and Evil Queens: The Walt Disney Company from the Inside Out, by Sean Griffin. I'm reading it but it's slow going. It reads like someone's master's thesis and since it has a university imprint it may actually be someone's master's thesis.
Speaking of Dsiney, my friend and co-worker, who is also a passholder, wants to go to the Expedition Everest preview thing too, so we have a group of four and we're going. We're going on the last day so if they're going to kill anyone on this thing, presumably they'll have done it before we ride it. I'm going to see the King Tut exhibit in Ft. Lauderdale the next day. It's going to be a busy weekend for me.

Are you going to the preview?? We're going on Sunday, it's the only day we both have off. I'm not much for scary rides but height and speed don't bother me. Just getting flipped upside down, so I think it'll be more fun than terrifying. I hope.

(yes!), mainly on Queer Film! Those Southern Methodists
certainly have changed!
I mainly mentioned it because he references one of
my articles on "The Lion King." But it's a good
academic book.
