1. Julie & Julia
2. The Olive Farm

3. Playing With Trains: A Passion Beyond Scale by Sam Posey.

I'll admit that the audience for this book may be somewhat limited but I loved it.

Wow, you are zooming along on your 50 books.

So does Gus love trains because you love trains, or did you discover an interest in model railroads (at least books about them) because you were researching for Gus?

My parents love Model Railroads so it's something I've always been around and I love them too. I wasn't really thinging of that as regards Gus though, I chose trains for him because other than the 'Bear' Bear that Brian bought him the train set was the other toy I could think of that I was sure Brian had bought for him.

Ahh okay. You know, I was going to add option 3 (an "or I don't know what I'm talking about, nevermind" [g].

I had forgotten all about Brian playing trains with Gus. Do we know that Brian bought him that train? I'm just curious now because I don't remember. :)

Given how much Mel and Linds were struggling with money then I think it's a safe assumption that the train came from Brian. They aren't an inexpensive toy.
