Wow. Didn't expect to ever like an Ethan post. Ethan and a chef sounds perfect. It was interesting that he noticed everything about the encounter with Brian, Justin and Gus (car, clothes, child).
Poor Ethan wasn't THAT bad after all... he just happened to fall in love with the wrong person...and to act in a totally shitty way in the process... :|
I'm glad Justin and Brian got their payback, tho...*grins*
I like it when Ethan isn't written as a horrible monster, just someone who was wrong for Justin. I like that he has a boyfriend to come home to after that encounter.
I love that Ethan (omg, I definitely typed "Ian" the first time... lol) used staff paper... But I am glad that he's happy, even if it's not how he thought he'd be, and at least that he has someone.
Of course I'm happier that Justin was able to get under his skin even just a little bit, since he was always so skeptical of Brian :-P
99% of me still wants Ethan to get hit by one of those subway trains, but the other 1% is glad that he's found someone to serenade, mostly because it means that he really has moved on, and I can breathe easy.
I think this is as good as it gets. Ethan finding peace with his past and moving on, just like Brian and Justin. You're kind to give him a life but I think it's justified. I never like Ethan (I don't know anyone who can, considering what he did) but he served his purpose - he gave the wake-up call to Justin, though in a clumsy, lousy way (thanks to CowLip). He's not a demon, just arrogant and naive. Thank you for giving him a second chance.
I ran across your journal while reading _in_babylon. I found all these wonderful journal entries by numerous characters in QaF (Changes, Summer) and I really want to read them all. Problem is, I just can't find the beginning. Can you help a poor girl out? If this is a continuing saga, possibly directing me to the beginning of the saga would be the best.

Sure, the first one is Correspondence, you can find a link to it on the left hand side of my LJ. Under the heading of Fiction they are in order. Memos is sort of outside the rest of the group, I did it as a request in a Christmas request thing. The first scrapbook is for Adventures and the second is for Changes.
Correspondence follows what happened after Justin went to California to work for Brett after S4. Adventures takes place about nine months after the end of Correspondence. Interlude bridges Adventures and Changes.
I hope you enjoy them! (Be warned though that it's very very long!)
