Expedition Everest

I just got an invitation from Disney to a Passholder preview of their new Expedition Everest attraction at Animal Kingdom. I am such a ride wimp but I am seriously tempted. It's the same weekend I'm going to see the King Tut exhibit in Ft. Lauderdale but that's not until Monday. I could maybe take Friday off and run up to Orlando...

Hmmm.....

If you're a ride wimp..that may not be the ride for you. I was over at AK last spring when I was getting ready for our Disney Test of Products and Services competition and saw it's framework. Let me tell you, that thing looked scary. It was pretty tall and from what one of our Disney reps told me, it's a rollercoaster that is going to go backwards at some points in the ride.

But if they offer you a really good deal on the preview.....I'd go for it, esp if they include hotel space. You don't have to ride the ride if you don't want to and AK itself is pretty cool to walk around.

We're probably going to get an industry preview ourselves and if it comes up before yours, I'll let you know the scoop. I always drag Meredith along to these things and make her ride them..LOL..which is how I knew that Mission Space was making people sick. She has a cast iron stomach and if that ride could upset her, I knew it was tough.

Okay, maybe not for me! It's in a couple of weeks (the 26th to the 29th I think.) Let me know what you guys think of it. I don't mind heights but I don't want to be corkscrewed or turned upside down.
