Good morning. I hope you all have a safe, happy, fun, New Year's Eve. I go on call this afternoon so I don't have much planned. I may try and take in a movie this afternoon and that's about it.

This is awesome. This whole thing. The Justin voice, and the potted plant, and the I suck but it was still great, and the limo, and Brian's remarks, and that description of the scary-polite look on Brian's face, and *of course* Brian would strike up a conversation with Ethan on the way out.

*squeeees*

"that really polite look" - like a cobra about to strike! I loved this, especially Brian's final comment. The best revenge is living well, indeed.

haha have you seen men in black 2? that line reminded me of the little cute alien plant thing in the beginning that made you go " awwww.. its so cute" and then the teeth came out and it ate you alive.. lmao!!!

It's one of those fantasies isn't it? To run into an old flame when your life is going perfectly.

I feel all warm and cozy inside, which is amzing since I cant take a decent hot shower in this place to save my life. Anyhow, love the 'get the car' part because I forgot they didnt actually drive anymore.
Brian giving Justin chance to be a lil smug.
I hope one day we'll hear more of Gus calling Justin, 'daddy'.

Hope you have a nice evening and THANK YOU for all the awesome 2005 memories! :)

Sadly so do I. Fell warm that is. I can't seem to convince anyone that when the house is at 80 the AC should be turned on.

That was so great. Most of my *favorite* parts have already been quoted, but I loved every bit of it. Your graphics are so wonderful that I'm afraid we sometimes forget how delicious your writing is.
I look forward to these episodes each day and appreciate the unbelievable effort it must take on your part to do them.

Happy New Year

Mr. Kinney, you bad.

"You remember Brian, of course." Like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. An evening to remember for all of them.

This was wonderful. Thank you for so many great posts this year, you've made it so much fun.

Happiest of New Years, Quinn.

Our son Gus! Fabulous! That was just too much fun. Thanks, Quinn. I love it when Ethan pops back up. I'm glad to see that he's not playing street corners, but Brian's right in that it isn't exactly what Ethan was hoping for. Excellent chapter!

LMAO...

This was so worth the waiting, hehe, if I had had the laptop with me last night I would have been able to check but its dead... ah well. i don't know which cracked me up more, the last line or the whole Gus never calls me 'daddy'. Maybe Gus sense his Justin was in trouble, lol. Wanted to protect what was his? hah.

oh this entry just made me smile the whole way through. I really did need that, thanks Quinn

Glad you like it and I'm afraid even if the laptop had been alive it wouldn't have helped. I didn't post until this morning.

Delicious! Revenge is a dish best served cold. I think Brian agrees. Love that he called the limo, and I also love that Justin happened to mention how great their life together is going.

I do feel a little twinge for Ethan, though. I hope he's got something going with the cello player to distract from the angst he must be feeling!

HAAHAHA. Oh, Ethan. And to think -- they were actually listening to him play through the entire thing (although I'm sure a lot of the other musicians covered him up). Gus calling Justin "daddy" -- that's something I've seen addressed in fics before and as always, it's very interesting to me. I want to know if Gus is going to do it again. The idea of Justin as a "daddy" is so very . When I think about Justin being there when Gus was born, Justin was so young... so it's strange to think of them both growing up a bit and ending up in a kind of father-son role. But Justin is an adult now and Gus can talk, so the situation is quite different now.

Great, now I want a "daddy Justin" icon.

I know, when I see early QaF eps I have to remind myself that Justin is nothing like this any more. He wasn't even like that on the show for very long.

Ethan can't feel too bad... It's hard to mourn something you never really had :-P Hehe.

This was fantastic, Quinn, and a perfect incorporation of all of these men at once. I really enjoyed this! :)

Happy New Year

my dad was going to pop out from behind a potted palm
THAT was the funniest thing ever! Just brilliant, as always,

Have a fabulous New Year. I will be safely tucked into my little house with my dogs as it's cold and raining outside. LA drivers are the worst drivers on the best of days so I'm limiting myself to an afternoon with friends, a movie and then home before dark. I can spend the night playing with new icons and trying to figure out how to update my journal layout - you know, with the fancy paid account status. ::hugs::

I'm so pathetic I tivo'd Anderson Cooper because I knew there was no chance I'd be awake at 11 :/

I can't even begin to tell you how terrific this entry was. I think I'm gloating as much as Brian and Justin. From "Daddy" to Justin bragging about the length of their relationship and their new loft AND the limo I'm all smiles. The icing on the cake is, "Somehow I don't think playing in the orchestra for the New York City Ballet ...was in Ethan's big plan for success". Brian hit the nail on the head! :D LOL

I just never saw fame in Ethan's future. From the moment he lost that competition and was all stunned about it I had this vision of him playing third chair in some orchestra somewhere.
