Green Beans

Several people asked me for the green bean recipe I made yesterday.




I can't get good haricots verts where I live, I just used nice fresh green beans. My market doesn't always have cepes either. I used a combination of crimini and white buttons. I assume you could use whatever mushrooms you like and can get.

Having made this I can tell you that you could do most of this ahead. Just keep the componants seperate and then combine them as directed for finishing.

do you think using veg broth instead would change the flavor dramatically.

No, as long as it's good broth it should be fine.

Thanks, Quinn. I forgot about the making your own version of Durkee-French-Fried-Onions-in-a-can and thought the 1 QT of oil had to be a misprint! These sound sooooooo good! May try them for Christmas.
