When Brian looks into options he doesn't mess around. I love the NYU option--especially if Brian pays the tuition, but I don't think Michael will be too happy about that. I love that Brian encourages Hunter to make his own decisions.
I bet if Hunter got into NYU & Ben/Mikey refused to pay tuition, Brian would offer and they would change their minds and pay. They're usaully let Hunter make his own decisions as long as their safe ones even when they don't like it. They just have to be mad at Brian for a bit first.
Ah, memories. I met one of my f-list when she was a student at NYU in the mid-80s, and the housing was so expensive that she ended up moving out of the dorms (which back then were hideous) and sharing an off-campus apartment with 2 other people in the as-yet-ungentrified East Village. If Hunter's going, believe me, Brian's going to have to foot some of the bill. OTOH, maybe Hunter might run into a currently-enrolled Olsen Twin in one of his classes. :D

My neice goes there and loves it. It's frighteningly expensive but then again, so are most other really good schools. Now they put their students up in really nice apartments. My neice was at South Street Seaport last year.
Hee! The tuition can be handled. I can see it now. Hunter agrees to a loan and Brian lets Hunter top him. KIDDING!!! Ew! My eyes! My eyes! *brain bleach* ;)
I think Brian's plan sounds quite reasonable, and definitely in Hunter's best interest..... And I like that he did tell Hunter that he needs to discuss it with Michael and Ben (although I'm sure he knows that now that the seed is planted in Hunter's brain..... lol)
A friend of mine goes there too... His parents are not huge fans of the tuition bills, haha.
I had forgotten that Michael must have a lot of money from Rage, too. I hope he will pay for Hunter's tuition... but really, overall, living expenses factored in, is it cheaper to go to the cheaper school and pay rent, or cheaper to pay the $50K tuition plus dorm fees? That could be something that needs to be added up while he weighs his options.

My favorite part of this post was when Hunter said he got to sit on the couch this time. It made me laugh out loud.
Happy Thanksgiving, Quinn (and Quinn family).
