I got more than half of my Christmas shopping done today without ever leaving my desk. What I have left now is manageable enough that I can either do it on-line or in actual stores without it inducing a panic attack. It's much easier for me to face busy shopping environments knowing that it isn't critical that I find something that trip.

Yey for you!

I'm strange and I actually like christmas shopping. I like the insane crazyness that it is. It just doesn't feel like christmas unless I have that experience.

I enjoy the shopping when I am not under pressure. I like going to the shops and seeing all the decorations and picking out a few special presents. But I can't enjoy it if I know I have to find something.

I canceled xmas in my family. I decided that we really didn't need anything that we don't already get for ourselves and talked to everyone in my immediate family. We are now putting our money we would have spent on gifts and donating it to a charity. We're taking turns every year to pick the charity and Mom went first and the animal shelter by their house is the lucky recipient. Not exactly Scrooge but it will be odd not having the gift exchange for the first time.

I still have friends I exchange with so I have that shopping to do which of course I haven't even thought about starting ..... until now.
