I didn't know it was there! I turned to tell Dandy not to follow me and when I caught the door I touched something cold and slimy. It was a big frog :/
Why is everyone so afraid of these little animals. I understand about the poisonous ones but you are not really all that likely to come into contact with one in your yard. I babysit for a 5 year old and luckily she has me becausse otherwise she woudl have her mother and sisters fears of every living creature, Instead she has held a Japanese beetle caught a lightning bug, held an earth worm and a FROG touched a turtle and when we had the Secada's a few years ago Tammy loved how it felt when their wings flapped in your hand. You can always wash your hands get over the fear bugs and nature are fun.

Unfortunatly where I live you are very likely to come into contact with the poisonous ones. Buffo Toads are a real problem here. This was too small (4 inches) to be a Buffo I think though. I don't mind them if I am warned. If someone comes up and asks me, "Hey look, I have this frog, wanna hold it?" That wouldn't bother me. We have little lizards all over the place and they don't bother me. It was thinking I was going to come into contact with door and encountering unknown frog that did me in :)
I usually don't mind snakes I even have a picture somewhere of me holding a huge albino 1 in the everglades. But up here in Maryland for some reason where I babysit they have Copperheads (poisonous) now I don't mind watching em slither around it I know they are there but when you open the metal cover to turn the key to make the pool open and one is just sitting there then I have a bit of a problem. At least summer is over don;t gotta worry bout em again till next summer its to cold also I thin k iran over one with my truck on less to worry about (no it wan't on purpose)
