I was sitting on my bed doing some sewing when I heard a noise outside the window. I looked out and there was a guy who looked like Santa Claus (really) outside doing something to my house. I thought he was reading the meter but then he walked around to the back of the house. Got my hopes up that maybe he was from BellSouth and was going to fix my phone. By the time I could get some shoes on to go ask him though he was gone and my phones were still dead. Very depressing. But less than 15 minutes later he was back and he was from BellSouth and he did fix my phones! Santa Claus has delivered me from Dial Up Hell! OMG I am so happy! I can get to my e-mail, I can read my flist, I can update my podcasts, I can DL Sim stuff, I can do research for Changes!

First though I have to run some errands because I am on call tomorrow. Normally you are on call for the entire weekend but since this is my first solo weekend on call I am just doing the one day. Please God the network will behave and no one will do anything stupid. The stories I could tell, OMG.

Yeah I'm soo happy to hear that you got your phone working again. I don't get my dsl hooked up until next week on the 15th. Either way you can kick dial-up to the curb...lol.

yay! No one should have to stay in dial-up Hell a moment longer than necessary. Glad to hear your phones are working again!

isnt it the strangest thing how phone/power/cable guys can come lurking around your house and get paid for it!?
It always freaks me out and IM thinking, "shouldnt they at least ring the bell?" Better than me calling the cops!
oh, Im happy your junk is fixed. What a nightmare.

Never mind Dial-Up Hell, how about when bunny bites through the power cable to the wireless router? Our rabbit is trying to get high on power juice, I swear. She bit throught the power cable for the laptop the first week we got it, even though we have tried so hard to rabbit-proof the house...

On another note, as I am a new fan of yours, what kind of stitching do you do? I am cross-stitching a Christmas Stocking for hubby AND sewing a 3-D santa in hardanger. I love to hear about other folk's crafts :-)

Hardanger is so pretty. I tried it once but I get impatient with following charts. I do better with something like needlepoint since the canvas is painted. Mostly I do embroidery, stumpwork, Japanese embroidery and I make heirloom children's clothes. If you click on the link that says 'Heirlooms' in my links you can see some of my stuff.
