I really like the way you wrote Michael's thoughts. We so rarely see a sweet Michael in fanfic. I love that he might go to Ted for fashion advice--that's so funny. :)

Which irritates me. Of course it doesn't help that so often Cowlip wrote him as clueless and whiny.

Cowlip did wrote the character of Michael very inconsistently. There were many episodes and scenes where I felt he demonstrated growth and maturity and many where he was childish and selfish. The problem was that both scenarios were true throughout each season. It wasn't a steady growth, with momentary backsliding (which would be normal--we all do that), his behavior was like a roller coaster.

I love how the times that Michael has to speak in public he's always such a wreck about it but then he throws away the script and does just fine.
