My brain will shut off all by itself after 10 hours and I'm completely useless. Thankfully there are very few long days for me.
But I'll assume you're still not missing BB?!?!?!
I'm the same, I'm very much a morning person. I left some stuff on my desk because I knew if I tried to wrap it up last night I'd just have ended up doing it all wrong.
I am not at all missing BB though! The only reason I had such a long day was a totally weird circumstance. There are only three of us in my department and between us we cover from 7AM to 8PM. I work the middle. The person who works early (my boss) had to have a root canal yesterday and was going to be late so I went in early. The person who works late was also having a root canal yesterday. Hers went horribly wrong and she ended up having to call out. So I stayed late to cover for her too.
I left some stuff on my desk because I knew if I tried to wrap it up last night I'd just have ended up doing it all wrong. I do this EXACT same thing. It's just not worth it. It takes more time to undo and redo something. At the end of the day I go through everything on my desk and make "piles" for the morning. The girl I share an office with works continually on top of a scattered mess. Makes me very nervous!
And what's up with all those root canals - it's like a plague!

And I got overtime, which is always a good thing.
