THANKS FOR THIS. HE ROCKS.

Great article! Did you see the one in Monday's New York Times? That one was cool too.

I was "lucky" enough to be sick as a dog on Thursday, Sept. 1 and so I was home and happened to see Anderson in Waveland. The whole show was a pivotal moment in TV history -- and it could have seemed anti-climatic after watching footage all day of dehydrated and hungry people stuck at the convention center in New Orleans. But the way Anderson related to the residents of the town, his righteous indignation, the way his emotions boiled over, and his confrontation with Landrieu brought everything about the disaster into focus.

Not that Anderson hasn't always been great at interviews. He's the best. He's so smart, and he's not afraid of powerful people. I'm glad that CNN finally realizes just how good he is.

I wish more of the media genuinely cared as much as he does... not just about getting the best story, but about the individuals involved... He is truly a wonderful and compassionate person, and I love that he's not afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve.

That article makes me want to shake his hand and/or give him a big hug and/or ask him to be my new best friend [he and my present gay best friend would get along smashingly, lol]

I read this article before I went to bed last night and thought of you, so I'm glad you've seen it. His background is interesting. Gloria Vanderbilt designed a line for a company I worked for many years ago. I remember at the time always thinking how she always looked exactly the same. Sort of frozen. Very pale skin, wide smile and the flippy hair. Apparently, she was much less frozen at home, caus he is very down to earth.

I'll be honest, I've never really been into watching AC and probably why I've never been that drawn to him as a viewer but after reading this article (and I did read the entire thing even though it was so long) I think I could love this man. He is unbelievable.

Thanks for opening me up to something I wouldn't have seen otherwise.

He's such a great guy. I always enjoy his show because he does let parts of himself show through. If he's got some emotional reaction to a topic (be it anger or sadness or humour or whatever) you know it. He let's you see it. And he can be very funny when he's not reporting such grim news.
