The Getty! Justin is in my part of town - well a 15 minute trip from my house. And he didn't call?
Anyway ..... The Getty is one of my favorite places on Earth. If you've never been there and you're in LA you have to make a point to go there. They have late hours on the weekend. I think Saturday they're open til 9 pm or so. The outdoor grounds are just amazing. I make a point of being there an hour or so before sunset. Everything is set up on a mini mountain and overlooks the ocean. There are no words to describe the sight of the sun setting and the vantage point from their terraces and gardens compares to none. Just awesome. I've spent hours watching sunsets from the Getty. Sometimes I even go inside to look at the paintings. And it's all free as long as you can park in their free lot - even the shuttle buses they use are nice.
That's OK! It's all fun stuff. Unfortunately when I got up this morning it was completely overcast and unless this cloud cover breaks up there will be no sunset to see. I guess that means I have to stay in the house and clean . :-(
