I have a day off from my houseguests today, they're spending the day at Disney World. They haven't been difficult but having that many people in the house is always exhausting. Yesterday we went and saw The Island, which I liked. Not the best movie ever but it was fun. I also went back to Macy's and picked up a couple of things I'd seen the day before but didn't get.

Space Shuttle launched yesterday and it was a pretty one. The sky was very clear so we could see it for a long time. I'm supposed to go see March of the Penguins today but I think I'm going to beg off. I just don't feel like doing anything today. Need to work on Adventures anyway, I'm only two ahead.

What's everyone reading? I get an hour lunch at the New job and am going to need some books to take with me for that.

Also, a favour please. In your own LJ you are, of course, free to do whatever you like. That said, would it be possible to not use spoiler icons? I've seen two today on my flist that I know are not from any ep that has aired already and it's really annoying. Thanks.

2 book recs: "Lost in the Forest" by Sue Miller (simple, fast--definitely not intense but an easy read)

"The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time" by Mark Haddon (author writes the novel from the point of view of a high functioning autistic teen trying to solve the murder of his neighbor's dog--fascinating reading)

I hope these help pass the time during your lunch hours.

Thanks for the recs. They both sound good but I think I'm going to have to pass on the second one. A murdered dog is so upsetting to me. Isn't that awful? A guy is killed in the first one and I can read that but someone does something horrid to an animal and just reading about it in the Amazon description upsets me and makes me want to hug my kitty.

If you do ever decide to read them, they're not as bad as they sound (the death parts). Let me know if you find any good books. :)
