Leave it to Brian and Justin to visit a rubber market! I love Brian's breezy "we haven't reached the half million mark yet". I must give Brian chops for trying things out that weren't luxury. Brian Kinney taking an elephant ride is going to be one of my all time visuals.
I was wondering how much money this was all costing, and now I have an idea!! Half a million dollars... wow.
It could be done for a lot less, but they've done a few very expensive things. That cruise to Antarctica set them back 40k, the Amazon cruise was another 20k. Add in airfares and hotels etc. and I figured the first leg of the trip (including the US and Canada)was probably in the 75K-100K range. If I added it all up I think they're probably in the 200-250K but I'm not certain. They're stayed in some very expensive places but they've also stayed in some cheap ones. I'm assuming first class flights and at the least deluxe rooms or jr. suites in the nicer hotels. Everything they've done is real so I knew what everything cost when I booked it for them, I probably should have kept an expense sheet for them :-)
OMG. I don't think I ever really thought of the cost until just now. So often in TV people do things without any reference to cost, and that's kind of how I was looking at this trip. Holy crap.
Anyway, gorgeous pictures, as usual. Wow I missed this series.

But yeah, it's v.v. luxurious. The Sultan of Brunei reportedly stayed there the last time he was in Penang.
