Couple of things have been happening in RL. I do actually have one.

Still no word on the job. I spoke to the lady who interviewed me and she expects me to hear something this morning.

We're having a big manager shuffle at work. Three store managers are shifting around, including mine. But I like the one I'm getting and my current one and another one I know have both told me if I'm unhappy I can go with them to their stores. In fact I had lunch yesterday with my former boss (and hopefully new co-worker!) and my current store manager and one of the other store managers, another CSR and five of ther various kids. It was fun.

I've lost 21 pounds on the Ice Cream diet and am now feeling much better. I was really feeling fat. I have no problem feeling chubby (given that at one time I was so far on the other side of the spectrum that it was scary) but I don't like feeling fat. (BTW: Ice Cream diet is that one night a week I can have a big gooey sundae but if I want it I have to drive and get it. Can't have it in the house. It's hard to feel deprived when you know you can have a mountain of ice cream and whipped cream if you want it.

Oh, and the fun news of the week. As you may know I decided not to go to school. But with my acceptance package was a form I had to send in saying that I have either been immunized against Measles and German Measles or that I am immune. I've had both but didn't have the record so I went for a blood test to show immunity. Dr. called Thursday. I am immune to German Measles but it turns out that I have never had Measles and have never been immunised against them. Which shocked my mother. So now I have to call the public health office and arrange to be immunised. It's amazing working retail all these years that I have never caught them.

Also (I better cut this, it's getting long) Dandy got his hair cut a last week. I don't think I mentioned that I'm not thrilled. The lady who usually does him wasn't there and another lady did it. It's a bad cut but even worse, she cut his whiskers! Poor thing was totally out of sorts for days. He's back to his usualy playful self now but I'll be letting them know I'm not happy. Oh and his poor tail looks so odd. Normally they lion cut it 9which I'll admit is funny) but this time she tapered it like some kind of strange cone. Now that he's grown out a bit though he looks an awful lot like Puss-in-Boots from Shrek 2.

Guess that's it for now.

Real life can be a royal pain sometimes...lol. I've had all my shots and if I remember right I had my last booster shots when I was 15 years old...yippi. Lets see I haven't gotten the flu shot in the last 3 years due to the shortage and I was wanting to allow all those people in the high risk catagory a chance to get the shot. I think this year I will get both the flu shot and the pneumonia shot again since the last one I had was when I was either 6 or 7 years old.

I've always been weary about getting the chicken pox, because I've never had them. I've had practically everything else, including the measels.I was talking to my doctor a few weeks ago, and he told me that there are some people who are just naturally immune to them, and considering I took care of my younger sister the entire time she had them (she even slept in my bed, she was only three, because she was scared when she had them) that I was probably one of those few.

Eek, poor kitty. Why would they cut his whiskers?! Weird. Good luck with the job and congrats on the weight loss! That's great.

I am not sure where you take your pet to be groomed but I have a pure bred German Shepard who is a shedding machine. I usually get him bathed about 3 or 4 times a year. This is mostly to take care of shedding issues not because he is dirty or smells he usually doesn't the occasional wet dog days don't count. I normally take him to the local Pet Smart and they usually do a good job except for 1 time when they basically forgot to brush him. I got so mad when I picked him up that I got on the computer immediately when I got him and e-mailed the contact point on the web site this was on Saturday, Monday morning I got an e-mail from corporate and a phone call from the store not only did Mischief get his next bath for free (and 2 peopl 2 brush him) I also got a $15 gift card sometimes complaining pays.

I take Dandy to his vet. They had a really great groomer and I don't know if she left or just wasn't there that day. I'm sure going to find out though before he goes back.

I'm crossing my fingers for your hopeful "new" job. I remember hearing that for a period of time the measles vaccine wasn't strong enough and people had to be reimmunized. What a pain! Good luck.

It's pretty rare for people to get Measles anymore. They've been immunizing against it for at least 30 years. (I know I got them as a baby, and my kids did, as I'm sure your mother thought you were too!)

I think since children are constantly being immunized, the threat of catching is pretty low.
